By accessing or using LLBCompanion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use LLBCompanion. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. User Accounts
You may register using email/password or third-party authentication providers (e.g., Google).

- AI-powered assistants (including Wakili Aid and system chatbots)
- Practice tools (flashcards, quizzes, exam simulations, quiz battles)
- Document interaction tools (PDF chat, quiz generation, extraction tools)
- Productivity tools (study tracking, scheduling, analytics)
- Simulation environments (mock courtroom, debate arena)
All services are provided for educational purposes only.
5. AI Disclaimer (No Legal Advice)
LLBCompanion uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, summaries, and study materials.
- AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete
- The platform does not provide legal advice
- Content should not be relied upon for legal decisions or professional use
6. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Payments
LLBCompanion offers subscription-based services, including Basic and Elite plans.
- New users may receive a 3-day free trial
- After the trial period, paid subscription may be required
- Payments may be processed via third-party providers (including M-Pesa)
All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated and are subject to applicable billing terms. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with notice.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for unlawful or harmful purposes
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit platform features
- Interfere with system security or performance
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Platform Ownership
All platform features, including software, AI systems, branding, and design, are the exclusive property of LLBCompanion.
8.2 License to Users
We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the platform for personal, educational purposes only.
8.3 User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g., notes, PDFs, flashcards). However, you grant LLBCompanion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and use such content within the platform.
8.4 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for content you upload. We reserve the right to remove content that violates laws or these Terms.
9. Data Protection and Privacy
Your use of LLBCompanion is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We aim to comply with the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya) and applicable international frameworks, including GDPR principles where relevant.
10. Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and restrict access to services at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
LLBCompanion is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee continuous availability, accuracy of content, or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or academic outcomes.
12. Third-Party Services
The platform may integrate third-party services (e.g., authentication providers, payment gateways, AI APIs). We are not responsible for third-party service interruptions or external data handling practices.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kenya.
