Terms of Service — LLBCompanion

1. Acceptance

By using LLBCompanion you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining account security. OAuth sign-in (Google) is supported; you may be asked to provide additional profile details after OAuth to complete signup.

3. User content & uploads

You retain ownership of uploaded documents. You grant us a limited license to store and process uploads to provide services (search, summarization, TTS).

3.1 Constitution Explorer — Comments

The "Constitution Explorer" feature allows users to add comments locally while reading the constitution. These comments are stored only in your browser (session storage) and are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers by default. If you clear your browser storage or end your session, those comments may be lost. By using the feature you acknowledge that:

Comments and annotations are client-side and ephemeral; they are not backed up or sent to LLBCompanion servers.
LLBCompanion is not responsible for the content of user comments. Comments reflect the views of individual users and do not represent the views of LLBCompanion.
Do not post personal, sensitive, or confidential information in comments. We recommend keeping private information out of comment text.

4. Prohibited use

Do not use the service for unlawful activities, copyrighted content misuse, or content that violates applicable laws.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations. You may request account deletion per the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect damages. For full legal terms tailor this section with counsel.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
